Spindle Repair and On-Site Taper Grinding

Martin Engster explains Centerline's 'tripod' — spindle repair, on-site taper grinding, and making parts — and when on-site grinding can keep you running.

Spindle Repair and On-Site Taper Grinding

I like to say Centerline is a tripod. We stand on three legs.

Leg one is spindle repair — anything to do with spindles.

Leg two is on-site taper grinding. If your spindle isn't making good parts, we can come to you and clean up the front taper. Is that a full fix? Not always — sometimes it's a band-aid. But it can keep you running until your busy time slows down and you can send the spindle in for a full repair.

Leg three is making parts. More on that soon.
