Spindle Repair Process

Incoming Inspection & Analysis

This first step determines the most common failures. It also ensures that a perfectly running spindle was not mistakenly pulled out of a machine.

Disassembly, Cleaning & Component Inspection

The spindle is completely broken down and cleaned. Every part, mechanical or electrical, is inspected to determine the cause of failure as well as the scope of the damage. 

Failure Analysis & Repair Quote

Once all these steps are taken the customer will receive a detailed and firm quote that includes:

  • Failure analysis
  • Labor cost
  • Spare parts
  • Rework
  • Balancing
  • Delivery date

Actual Repair

Spindles are repaired in our temperature controlled clean room, utilizing all new parts that meet OEM specifications. 

Balancing is done to Quality 1 or 0.4µm, dependent upon the spindle. 

Meeting OEM specifications allows us to offer a 2,000-hour runtime guarantee on all belt-driven spindles and a 1,000 hour runtime guarantee on high frequency spindles.

Turnaround

We understand downtime is costly, so we also offer an expedited spindle service for emergency situations. The expedited service is at an an additional charge, which is explained in detail with each and every repair quote.
