Description of Duties: Fabricate, assemble, and process mechanical parts as required to meet specs. Assist in the development of diagnostic and work-use tooling for repair. Perform in-process inspections as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Good understanding of the fundamentals of grinding, machining and milling work.
Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve on an individual basis in the grinding and machining processes. Understanding of manual and conversational-run lathes. Understanding of manual and conversational-run tool room mills. Ability to troubleshoot and read blueprints.
Ability to inspect machined components to specification requirements using precision measurement instruments. Maintain good concentration in order to obtain tight tolerances. Willingness to be flexible in work duties and be a team player.
